I received law degrees from the University of California at Davis and the University of Bayreuth, Germany, and a Ph.D. in philosophy of law from the University of Bonn. I have published a prize-winning book on the philosophy of punishment and articles on antitrust and jurisprudence. I am a frequent speaker on antitrust and law & economics topics, and a founder of the Law & Society Blog and the Antitrust Review.
